Glenn Klassen is the music director of the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra.
 
Glenn Klassen was appointed Music Director of the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra in 2003.  Previously held positions include: Music Director of the Rochester Symphony (Michigan), Mason Community, Mennonite Community and, Manitoba Conservatory of Arts and Music Orchestras, Associate Conductor of the Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra and Assistant Conductor with the National Academy Orchestra at the Boris Brott Summer Music Festival. As a guest conductor he has performed with: the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra, Helena Symphony, Traverse Symphony, and return engagements with the Mennonite Community and the Battle Creek Symphony Orchestras.
 
A native of Manitoba, Glenn relocated to Michigan in 1997 pursuing graduate studies at Michigan State University.  While at Michigan State, he was Assistant Conductor and led the University’s Symphony, Chamber, Philharmonic and Campus Orchestras and also worked with the Opera Theatre Department.  He graduated with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in 2002.
 
Glenn has also been an active choral conductor and since 2003 has been the music director of Vox Musica.  Memorable choral experiences include working with renowned conductors Robert Shaw and Helmuth Rilling. Glenn has also served as interim conductor of the U of L Wind Orchestra during the 2008-09 and 2009-10 academic years.
 
Glenn resides in Lethbridge together with his wife Sandra.
