In the mid 1980's we moved into our home on 15 Street and met one of our new neighbors, John Hoopfer.

John took over my insurance and we got to know him better. We had been operating our business since 1980 and were active in the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce. John suggested that as a young business person I should consider joining the Rotary Club and invited me to Downtown club as his guest. I knew very little about Rotary and enjoyed the fellowship with such a wide variety of members. What impressed me most was the community work done by the Rotary club both in Lethbridge and internationally - especially the Polio Plus campaign.

I joined Rotary in the early 1990's and it has been great ever since. I was a founding member of Sunrise Club and wish I could attend more meetings and events. Our meetings are positive and uplifting. Our members are dedicated to community and I am still in awe of the capacity to "GIVE" that so many Rotarians show. Our members do live the Four Way Test.

Thanks for your help, support and friendship over the years.
