Guest Speaker Peter Imhof

Guest Speaker

Peter Imhof

The Holocaust Symposium

Peter firmly believes that in order to prevent addiction in the future, we must work with families and strengthen them so they can provide a safe and nurturing home for their children.

Peter Imhof came to Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada in 2001 from Germany. After working almost ten years in technical research and development, he joined Family Centre as Family Support Manager in 2012 and took on the role as Executive Director in 2014. Family Centre is a non-profit organization that offers prevention and early intervention services to strengthen families and parents with a particular focus on care-givers of young children. Peter is passionate about making a difference for our community. He is a chartering member of the Mosaic Rotary Club, works through Family Centre on preparing a strong future for our community, and has recently found something new to be excited about: social entrepreneurship.

What Does the Future of Rotary Look Like ???

How can we attract the right people to our club?

What are low, or no cost ways to share our club's work with the public?
One group of students will reveal their plan for a new type of Rotary Club called "Rotary 21" .

These students are bringing a fresh perspective to some recurring Rotary questions, and we guarantee you'll be surprised with what they have to tell you. We invited 18 people (with no prior knowledge of Rotary) to interact with us, to learn about our clubs and give us honest feedback about what they saw. Whether you originally intended to attend or not - you might want to give the presentation a watch.  https://youtu.be/Qpc15-fIISs

Rotary International Vision
Rotary International's Vision says that, "Together we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves."

As People of Action, Rotarians are called to help build and strengthen our local communities. One way we can do that is by sharing our knowledge, skills and experience with others..

Please join us on Saturday, May 15th from 1:00 - 4:00 PM for a virtual workshop where a few Rotarians will share their career and financial management best practices and advice with our local youth.

To register for the Career and Financial Management Workshop, please go to the District website home page https://www.rotary5360.ca/, click on the "Events" tab and then click on the "Club and District Calendar". Scroll to May 15th, click the Workshop link, fill in the Zoom registration form and hit "Send". You will then receive a confirmation email containing your personal link to join the workshop.
Hoping you can join us for this inaugural event targeted at our youth!
