Announcement and Media Release
2021 ATB Financial Lethridge Rotary Dragon Boat Festival

The Planning Committee, in consultation with the leadership of the Rotary Clubs of Lethbridge, Alberta Health, and our major sponsor, ATB Financial, have determined this premiere festival event and the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Festival, scheduled for June 25-27th , 2021 will unfortunately be postponed to June 24-26th, 2022. This decision is the latest major event significantly impacted by the Covid Pandemic and recognize the disappointment of the community, athletes and all those anticipating the festival this year.
“The health, safety and well-being of all those involved with the festival is paramount and cannot be jeopardized. Due to the additional risks imposed by this pandemic with an event of this magnitude, the Planning Committee will focus its efforts on the new vision for the festival for 2022 and years to come. We look forward to exceeding the long-standing expectations of our festival and to hosting our community, visitors, and athletes (local and out of town, out of province and country) in 2022 at the most renowned Dragon Boat Festival in Western Canada says Diane Randell, Chair of the Planning Committee.
We are also most grateful to our long-standing major sponsor, ATB Financial, for their ongoing support and confidence in the Festival.”
The Planning Committee will also plan to mark the weekend in June in a meaningful way and issue an invitation to join us in 2022 and to celebrate 20 years of dragon boating at Henderson Lake.

Hello Rotary District 5360!

Only 8 weeks to go before we gather for our annual district conference on Saturday, May 01, 2021. I am happy to announce that registrations is now open. Together as the family of Rotary this is our opportunity to engage with Rotary youth, to reconnect with Rotarians across our District and to share how we are all Navigating a New World.

This year's event promises to be an engaging, vibrant gathering of all ages. We have an amazing line up of speakers providing stimulating and thought provoking talks with an opportunity for you to interact with the speakers and fellow Rotarians at the round table discussions. Throughout the day's sessions you will have an opportunity to really connect with your tablemates as we explore relevant topics and create closer connections.

Rotary Opens Opportunities, and this is yours!  We are ready for you, with stimulating sessions, some surprises from across our District, celebrations of amazing feats of greatness, and a day full of Rotary fellowship – can’t wait to see you on May 1st!

Yours in Rotary Service - Mary Turner, District Governor, 20-21
