Do you have hands-on experience with any of Rotary’s youth programs at either the Club or District level? Do you consider yourself an advocate of the District’s Youth Service programs? Do you see yourself as a leader, a coach, a counsellor, a mentor and a team player? Do you like to work with like-minded people? And, do you believe in continuous improvement opportunities?
If your answers to the above questions are “yes” then the District Nominating Committee encourages you to put your name forward declaring your interest in becoming the next District Youth Service Committee Chair. Your term as Chair is for the next 3 years beginning on July 1, 2016. You get to work with some really great youth program leads (Rotaract, Interact, Youth Exchange, RYLA, RYPEN, NGSE) and together you will work to connect and strengthen our District’s 5th Avenue of Service.
Please send me your expression of interest by Friday, May 15. This should include a short summary of your Rotary experience at the Club or District level, especially with youth, and why you feel you should be considered as the next Chair of the Youth Service Committee. Like any position in Rotary, you and the program will get out of it what you put into it! Looking forward to hearing from you.
On behalf of the District Nominating Committee,
Rick Istead
Chair, Rotary District 5360 Youth Service Committee
