Meals on Wheels requires a lot of cooperation between the clients, kitchen, volunteers and back to the people we serve. I want to extend my sincere thanks to the response to our need for Meals on Wheels Drivers and Couriers. We are getting closer to: filling all eight routes across the city; with amazing volunteers; five days a week. To the current and long standing volunteers: You drove and drove for our community and seniors for months; you still do. Taking on more than you signed up for at times. Your volunteer service inspires me and many others. Thank you! CHRISTMAS DAY VOLUNTEER DRIVERS This year our annual Christmas Dinner is by delivery only. Approximately 800 meals will be provided in our community on Christmas Day. If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, please call LSCO.

Club Leadership Team Workshops

Club Leadership Team Workshops

Hi District 5360 Rotarians and Rotaractors,
I am very excited to share with you our plans for our upcoming Club Leadership Team Workshops to be held next February - March.
Below is everything you need to know about this learning and personal development opportunity.
Why should you attend?
As one of the leaders of your club, this workshop is designed to provide you with the information and resources that will prepare you to lead your Club next Rotary year (2022-2023)
Who should attend?
Rotarian and Rotaractor Leaders. Our District leaders recognise it takes more than one person to lead a club, it takes a team of engaged individuals working together. This learning session is for all leaders and aspiring leaders in your club.  We are hoping that at least 3-4 leaders of your club will attend one of our sessions.
Why are we doing this??
Through these workshops we will share innovative learning and development resources that will help build club vibrancy. Because we believe "Ordinary people working together can achieve extraordinary results – We're Stronger together! Better together!"
 What will you learn?
How to Lead Your Club and have fun doing it. Some best practices in support of Club Vibrancy, member engagement, diversity equity & inclusion and engaging our youth.
These Workshops are scheduled to be a mix of face to face and virtual sessions in order to accommodate as many of our Rotary leaders as possible. Registration goes live on January 3rd.  Please be sure to save the date(s) in your calendar that work best for you and your fellow leaders! Use the following link to our District website https://rotary5360.ca/, click on EVENTS/ AREA CALENDAR. Then select the date/location of the Workshop you wish to attend and hit register….It’s that easy!
You will receive an email confirmation of your registration. Please keep it handy as it will contain your personal link to participate in the Workshop
 When will it take place?
Virtual - Wednesday, February 23rd (Part 1) Virtual - Saturday, February 26th (Part 2)
Face to Face - Saturday, March 12th (Calgary venue to be confirmed)
