Move for Polio

 

 

 

We are at the mid-way point of District 5360 “Move for Polio” fund raising campaign (July 1^st to October 24^th).

 

To date, we have raised over $21,000 towards the target of $100,000. It’s a good start but there’s still more work to be done.

 

It’s time to get motivated and inspired so on Wednesday, August 25^th at 7.00pm the District is thrilled to have a presentation by Mike McGovern.

 

Mike has served as the Chair of Rotary International’s PolioPlus Committee since October 2014. In this role, he is the volunteer leader of Rotary’s largest humanitarian project, the global eradication of polio.  Rotary is the spearheading partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative and has donated over $2.0 billion to ending polio and has worked with other partners to reduce the number of polio endemic countries from 125 in 1988 to 2 today. Mike also represents Rotary on the Polio Oversight Board.
