Over the past several months, we have been planning an opportunity for our community to come together, learn and start the momentum for a Call to Action for the health and well-being of our community and neighbours. Your voice and those of your friends and colleagues would be a valued asset.
You are cordially invited to attend, “Imagine Lethbridge” Healthy Cities Forum, with special guests, Dr. Trevor HancockDr. Kim Raine and Joyce Tang. This three day free online forum in partnership with the AHS Design Lab Team with funding from New Horizons for Seniors. We hope you can attend the event virtually and provide your valued input.

Healthy Lethbridge pursues initiatives that contribute to making Lethbridge a community focused on its health and well-being. With your input and involvement we intend to ‘make Lethbridge the healthiest city in Canada for all to live, thrive and age well.’ Lethbridge is a great place to live! We have much to be grateful for and proud of. Can we make our city even better? What does ‘the Lethbridge we want’ look like in the future? How can we make this happen?
The Imagine Lethbridge Healthy Cities Forum will bring our community together in a virtual format to hear ideas from prominent Healthy City experts. Our speakers will share perspectives from a global, provincial and municipal viewpoint on principles to be considered for ethical community growth and sustainability. Healthy Lethbridge is pleased to align its work with the City of Lethbridge’s strategic goals including being: economically prosperous, healthy and diverse, culturally vibrant, well designed, environmentally responsible and regionally supportive. Through a guided process, participants will have an opportunity to respond to probing questions about our City’s health and its citizen’s well-being.
Your participation in this event will give you an opportunity to consider the topics presented by the speakers, our City’s strategic goals and reflect on the vision of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Healthy Cities initiative which is: “Healthy cities are places that deliver for people and the planet. They engage the whole of society, encouraging the participation of all communities in the pursuit of peace and prosperity. Healthy cities lead by example in order to achieve change for the better, tackling inequalities and promoting good governance and leadership for health and well-being. Innovation, knowledge sharing and health diplomacy are valued and nurtured in healthy cities.”
Please join us as we begin to expand our thinking about the place we call home – Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, Earth.
