In Person and Hybrid Meetings
A number of Rotary clubs in our District have begun in-person and hybrid meetings. While this a very positive development it is critical that we move ahead with caution.
As a district we will adhere to the applicable Health Services directives issued by Alberta (: https://www.alberta.ca/coronavirus-info-for-albertans.aspx) and Saskatchewan (: https://www.saskatchewan.ca/government/health-care-administration-and-provider-resources/treatment-procedures-and-guidelines/emerging-public-health-issues/2019-novel-coronavirus ).
These have been up-dated and will come into effect Saturday Sept. 4th at 8.am.
Additionally, Rotary International has issued the following Policy:
- The health and safety of all participants in Rotary programs, meetings, and events is of paramount importance.
- All conveners and organizers of Rotary meetings and events shall fully comply with all health and safety rules in effect in that location.
- No in-person Rotary meeting or event shall be mandatory for any participant who may feel uncomfortable attending because of the pandemic.
- All conveners and organizers of Rotary meetings and events are strongly encouraged to consider all health concerns in deciding whether to hold in-person meetings.
- All travelers must adhere to all risk mitigation protocols required or recommended by local authorities.
As we move forward we will keep you abreast of changes that will impact In-Person meetings. Please take care of your fellow members and follow the 4 way test.
